Resenha Naomi and Ely's No Kiss List
A witty and highly entertaining exploration of love, friendship, and misunderstanding. Like Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist (Knopf, 2006), the story is told from alternating points of view and is about teens living in Manhattan. Gorgeous Naomi and her best friend, the equally gorgeous and gay Ely, have been neighbors and soul mates since childhood, and in order to protect their relationship, they have created a list of people who are absolutely off limits for kissing. The list is meant to be "insurance against a Naomi and Ely breakup," but when Ely kisses Naomi's boyfriend Bruce the Second, it sets off a chain of events that causes a major rift in their longstanding relationship. As the story progresses, Naomi comes to realize that the true reason she is so upset with Ely is not so much that he is romantically involved with her former boyfriend as it is that she has finally acknowledged that things are never going to turn out the way she has envisioned them.
Naomi e Ely são melhores amigos, cresceram juntos e fazem quase tudo juntos, os pais de Naomi são divorciados, enquanto Ely é criado por duas mães.
O divorcio dos pais da Naomi ocorreu quando a mãe dela descobriu que o marido estava tendo um caso com uma das mãe de Ely, mas apesar disso as mães de Ely decidiram permanecer casadas.
O que Ely não sabe é que Naomi é apaixonada por ele,mesmo ela namorando Bruce the second (estava escrito assim no livro) quando ela diz que um dia eles vão se casar e ter lindos filhos ela não brinca sobre isso,Naomi acredita que o fato de Ely ser gay não vai atrapalhar em nada.
Naomi e Ely criaram a no kiss list, caras que nem ela e nem ele devem beijar,não por eles serem feios, mas ao contrário, Naomi jamais pensou em colocar o namorado dela na lista, ela não gosta dele o suficiente para fazer isso e Ely acha ele sem graça.
Quando Ely revela que beijou o namorado de Naomi ela não liga muito, mas quando ela percebe que Ely esta mentindo para poder ficar perto de Bruce, ela percebe que esta sendo duplamente traída.
Esse é o segundo livro em que a parceria entre Rachel Cohn e David Levithan se torna algo maravilhoso, Naomi é apaixonada por Ely e ele não percebe isso, ele pensa que Naomi esta brava pois ele roubou o namorado dela, enquanto tudo que ela pensa é que Ely esta dando uns amassos no seu ex namorado e que ela daria tudo para estar no lugar dele.
Naomi vai tentar ocupar o espaço vazio com outras companhias, Bruce the First, um cara que é afim dela, mas não dá certo pois ela esta usando ele para não ficar sozinha e Gabriel.
Gabriel é o porteiro do prédio onde Naomi e Ely moram, e ele começa a demonstrar mais interesse nela com o passar do tempo, infelizmente a história dos dois não teve muito destaque no livro.
O livro tem vários pontos de vista, é difícil para Naomi ter que aceitar que finalmente seu melhor amigo esta apaixonado, e apesar de Ely ter roubado o Bruce para ele, é muito difícil não torce pelo relacionamento dos dois.
Gabriel é o porteiro do prédio onde Naomi e Ely moram, e ele começa a demonstrar mais interesse nela com o passar do tempo, infelizmente a história dos dois não teve muito destaque no livro.

O livro virou filme, e foi assim que eu soube da existência dele, o filme é legal, mas o livro é bem melhor, Rachel e David escreveram os livros Nick e Norah (também tem filme) e Dash & Lily's book of dares.
